The Montréal Pride Festival, the largest gathering of the sexual and gender diversity communities in the Francophone world, kicked off on August 8 and, after an impressive 11 days of celebration, will conclude with the Pride Parade on Sunday, August 18. Tomorrow, in the heart of the gay village on Ste-Catherine Street East, some 95,000 people will participate in Community Day.
People will come together to celebrate the communityâs cultural richness in an atmosphere thatâs festive, family-friendly, diverse and colourful. The street will be alive with people and their companion animals who are more than welcome throughout the pedestrian-only site. Thereâll be something for everyone thanks to a wide variety of kiosks along Ste-Catherine as well as evening concerts in nearby Parc des Faubourgs.
The Pawsie teamâbursting with energy and good humourâwill be on-site, close to the intersection of Ste-Catherine and De La Visitation Streets. So put your best foot forward and sashay down to our photo booth with your companion animal to tell us about your pet and have your photo taken together. Link up with our fantastic mosaic of people celebrating their relationships with their pets. Weâll be waiting to meet you with a special surprise for your little cutie! (Pawsie)
