A French bulldog elected village mayor

December 9, 2020

An adorable dog named Wilbur proudly became mayor of a small Kentucky village a few weeks ago, following the American election. It has been a tradition for more than 30 years that a dog be elected mayor of this hamlet to mark the U.S. presidential elections. Of course, this tradition is only symbolic, which leaves the pooch politically powerless However, his popularity is something to smile about: out of more than 22,000 votes counted, the French bulldog received over 13,000. What’s more, Wilbur has his own Facebook page, where he frequently posts wonderful photos of his everyday life, each cuter than the next! There is no doubt that he is now a true public figure!
